"The in-between war"

Films: Alien Outpost (2014)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: As we've seen many times, humans can be able to fend off even the nastiest of alien invasions. But like any fight here on Earth, no fight is truly over. Not while there are more pro-military wank-fests to make in cinema. Because moral complexity in wars is for nerds, apparently.

History: In 2021, the Earth was attacked suddenly by a race of aliens known colloquially as the Heavies. Despite a rocky start, the battle was won by humans after the government was dissolved and replaced with the United Space Defense Force. More than a decade later, and the USDF has been mostly disbanded, the only enemy left being the Heavies left behind during the retreat. But somewhere in Pakistan, there is a Heavy base still there, mind-controlling the locals while getting on every last nerve the last USDF outpost has.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: In the end, the human soldiers manage to destroy the base, cutting off all connections the Heavies have our people and theirs. However, it is heavily implied that a second invasion is inevitable...

Powers/Abilities: All Heavies have superb physical strength, and usually come with plasma cannon rifles. They are also looking into mind-control chips.

Weakness: Heavy artillery.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Appearance-wise, the Heavies are intimidating and strong-looking, but they're ultimately no more frightening than the average "Star Trek" race. That said, their tech is superior, their arsenal almost killed us, and the mind-control chips come with the nice side-effect of extreme agony. One has to wonder why these beings hate us in the first place.

Trivia: -This film was directed by Jabbar Raisani, who's more known for his effects work in major blockbusters and successful TV shows, among them things like "Iron Man" and "Lost in Space". He did most of the effects for this film as well.

-This film was also known as "Outpost 37" and "Mankind's Last Stand".
